Sidney, Montana

Mrs. Ruth Iversen and her late-husband, Iver, farmed in the Sidney area for many years. Ruth held many jobs outside of her primary homemaker position throughout the years. She was an English Teacher at Sidney Public Schools, Dean of Women at a college, and even a basketball coach! She and her husband raised four children and today Ruth enjoys her numerous grandchildren. She is a firm supporter of her local community. This is what Ruth has to say about the Tax Credit benefit she has received by creating Charitable Gift Annuities with the local healthcare foundation:

"Being a donor under the Montana Tax Credit for Endowed Giving law is pure joy for someone who loves a bargain! It means an immediate reduction in the state income tax, it means the gift will be used locally to provide improved services, and the state will get additional tax revenue. It is a winning situation for everyone! It is exciting to give a gift, which not only means a substantial reduction in our income tax, but also benefits our community. We can view with pride the improvements brought about by banding together and working to make our community a healthier and happier place to live."
